Biography
Michael was born and raised in the Athens area. After graduating from the University of Georgia, Michael attended law school at Mercer University. Michael spent over five years working with two of the Southeast’s largest insurance defense firms. His practice areas involved medical malpractice, tractor-trailer, premises liability and product liability. Michael has been involved in the defense of hundreds of catastrophic injury and wrongful death lawsuits, but is now honored to call himself a personal injury lawyer. Like Evan, Michael’s practice focuses exclusively on representing individuals in all aspects of personal injury litigation and business disputes.

Michael has been named a Georgia Rising Star® and one of Georgia’s best attorneys under the age of 40 by Atlanta Magazine and Law and Politics Magazine, an honor bestowed on less than 2.5% of all practicing attorneys in Georgia. He is admitted to practice in the State and Superior Courts of Georgia and the Middle District of Georgia. Michael is a member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, the Atlanta Bar Association, the Georgia Bar Association, the Western Circuit Bar Association, and the Atlanta Claims Association. Michael resides just south of Watkinsville, Georgia with his wife and young son Cole. He enjoys the outdoors and considers himself a frustrated gardener.
